Seasons Tree Painting

If you know me, you know how much I love Pinterest! :) When Pinterest first came out, I didn’t exactly understand the idea of it, however, once I started investigating and seeing all of the cool ideas that came from Pinterest, I wanted to know more! What was the first thing I pinned? A painting, and not just any painting; it was a Seasons Tree Painting that’s super colorful. I thought that it would look perfect in my bedroom!

Now, I’m not a painter. I like to paint, but I could never come up with something like this on my own. So, who do I turn to? My sister who graduated with an art degree and could draw and paint anything you showed her. :) I showed her my idea and she told me, “pshh…piece of cake…we’ll do it together.” Together? When I can even draw a straight line? LOL :) Yeah, sure!

Well honestly, we did it together! :)

We started with the backgrounds of each panel and made them gradient.  It really wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, in fact, it was quite fun!  :)

Then it was time for my sister to get to work with her skills.  :)  She then painted a lovely tree!  You don’t even want to know what my tree would have looked like!

After the tree was drawn, we then pained the leaves which consisted of swirling paint  with sponges.  It was very fun to do because you could not really mess it up.  Just like filling in the blanks!  And I do have to say that it turned out very pretty!!  :)

And then it was time to hang! Doesn’t it look awesome?! It’s something that you’d look at every day because simply, how can you miss it? It really does brighten up the room!
